When it comes to flexible installation, Deka Duration battery systems is at the top of the list. With its modular design, the Deka Duration DD5300 Battery Module offers flexible installation options to meet the individual needs of each customer. The unique design of the DD5300 Battery Module allows for either wall mount, upright floor mount (vertical) or floor mount stacking (horizontal) applications, for either Low Voltage (LV) or High Voltage (HV) installations.

Stacked Modules

Your specific system needs for energy storage will dictate the number of battery modules required for your project.  For LV (48 volt systems), the DD5300 can support up to 15 Battery Modules in parallel (1 cluster) and up to 7 clusters paralleled together. The DD5300 Battery Module can help save valuable floor space when deployed in either of the floor mounted configurations.

The sturdy metal case of the DD5300 allows you to stack up to 8 modules high when in the horizontal position.

Some more key benefits and features of these battery systems include:

  • Locked Modules: The Battery Modules, when stacked, have a distinctive feature to lock them together, creating a unique racked system for safety, ease of installation/use and a more streamlined appearance.

  • Vertical and Horizontal Stacking: The Battery Modules can be mounted and positioned either vertically or horizontally on the floor when placed back-to-back. This feature also allows for minimizing floor space and facilitates easy wiring configurations.

kWh (Kilowatt Hour) Breakdowns (Low Voltage - 48 Volt)

  • If your system requires a cluster of 15 Battery Modules, which equals 79.5kWh, you will have one stack of 8 and one stack of 7 modules, again minimizing floor space.

  • If your system is larger than 79.5kWh (1 cluster), you then need to purchase a Low Voltage HUB that will allow up to 7 clusters in parallel (556.5kWh).

The DD5300 has one of the industry's first programmable Battery Management Systems (BMS) and thus can be programmed for either LV (48 volt) or HV (up to 1000 volts) applications and, with either LV or HV systems, the DD5300's flexible mounting options allow for clean installations requiring minimal floor space.  If you have any questions about the LV or HV applications, sizing, or installation methods needed for your system, please don't hesitate to reach out to us, or learn more at Energy Storage Solutions
